Nicole & Jad

Hello World! We’re Jad and Nicole from Lebanon. We’re a couple of digital nomads traveling around the globe sharing our passion for travel & tech.

Jad is a web developer and I’m a web designer (Perfect, right?). In April 2016, we quit our 9-to-5 jobs and decided to work while traveling.

Why we quit our jobs

We believe the study-work-retire lifecycle is a horrible way to live. Life is too short to spend it on a job you hate.

Are you living life? Or are you just paying bills until you die?

The average person’s life timeline would look like this:

Your life

From the day we’re born until we’re 18, we go to school. From 18 to 65, we work. Then, we retire.
And as you noticed, 18 to 65 is a long, long period of our lifetime. We spend it working full time and barely catching our breath and waiting impatiently to retire.
Stop for a minute and ask yourself, are you happy at your job? If not, then you need to make a change in your life.

Get our of your comfort zone

Get out of your comfort zone!

We used to have full time jobs, but we realized we needed to get out of our comfort zone in order to be happy. So we pursued our passion: inspiring people about modern web technologies and design.

What we do

We travel from one city to another to teach at a coding bootcamp, to speak at conferences and (sometimes) to just chill.

Dev teachers

We teach development and design at Le Wagon, a coding bootcamp that teaches web development in 9 weeks. We love teaching, seeing people getting out of their comfort zone to learn how to code is just beautiful. We travel to different batches around Europe to teach in cities like Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Barcelona & more.

Conference speakers

We’re both international conference speakers, we love to share knowledge with developers and designers by speaking about advanced topics. Recently, we’ve been to NDC Oslo, Atlanta, Ace! Krakow & more.

We also freelance on the go. Jad is a full stack developer, and I work on design & front-end development projects. Now and then, we give technical workshops for startups and agencies.

Travel blogging

Our goal from this blog is to share our favorite destinations and travel hacks that we learned from this ongoing adventure, and inspire people to follow their passion like we do.

We love sharing travel hacks like how to travel from Europe to San Fransisco for $140 or how to pack light and travel smart.
This year, we took 40+ flights to 30+ cities in 15+ countries, and we don’t plan on stopping ✈️.
